The Army Painter | Grimdark Shadow | Masterclass: John Blanche

Grimdark Shadow – Masterclass: John Blanche

Deepen shadows and weather metallic surfaces with Grimdark Shadow, a miniature-painting wash from The Army Painter Masterclass: John Blanche collection. Its green-brown-black shading tone brings a darker, more subdued appearance to gothic paint schemes.

Painting ideas

Apply it to armour, blades and other metal details to reduce their brightness and emphasise recesses. Follow with selective highlights or additional layers to build the worn, atmospheric character of a Blanchitsu-inspired model.
